Who we are

Membrane Roofing Systems ("we", "us") is an Auckland-based membrane roofing contractor, owner-operated by Mussi Jorge Rosa. We are the agency responsible for the personal information collected through this website.

What we collect, and when

We only collect information you actively give us. We do not require an account, and we do not buy or sell personal data.

• Contact form: your name, email address, phone number, property type, the service you are interested in, and your message.
• Free Roof Check: the photo you upload of your roof, plus your name, phone number and property address when you book an inspection.
• Chat widget: whatever you type into the chat, including any contact details you choose to share so we can call you back.
• Automatically: a randomly generated session identifier used only to count how many people are on the site at once. It is not linked to you and is discarded within minutes.
• Analytics: standard Google Analytics 4 measurement data such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type.

How we use it

To answer your enquiry, quote your job, and carry out work you ask us to do. That is the whole purpose.

We do not send marketing emails to people who have only made an enquiry, and we do not add you to any list without asking.

Your roof photo

A photo you upload for the Free Roof Check is sent to a third-party AI provider to generate the on-screen reading, and it is used for that purpose only. We do not publish it, we do not use it in marketing, and we do not pass it to anyone else. If you would like us to use a photo of your completed job publicly, we will ask you first.

The reading a photo produces is preliminary triage, not a survey or a quote.

Who else sees it

We keep the list of third parties deliberately short, and each one only receives what it needs to do its job:

• Our email provider, which delivers enquiry and booking notifications to us.
• Our website host, which serves the site and processes form submissions.
• The AI provider that analyses a Roof Check photo.
• Our chat automation provider, which processes chat messages and sends us the resulting enquiry.
• Google Analytics, for aggregate website measurement.

Some of these providers store or process data on servers outside New Zealand. We only use providers that commit to comparable privacy safeguards.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and booking details are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them for the job and our records, including any warranty period. The live visitor session identifier is held in memory only and expires within minutes. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and ask us to delete it. Email us and we will action it. There is no charge.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on, or block cookies in your browser. Nothing on this site requires cookies in order to work.

Security

Form and Roof Check submissions are sent over an encrypted connection, and our submission endpoints are rate limited to reduce abuse. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us anything highly sensitive through a web form.

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date below.
